Here it is March 17th. I am almost all the way through the whole mortgage process. I am simply waiting for the approval to close. The closing is March 30th. It has been a whirlwind of events and as I sit and think about everything that has happened and everything that I have going on...I do realize how crazy I sound.
The plan is to close on the house on the 30th but the move will take place on April vacation. Tax season ends on the 15th and April vacation starts on the 15th so I have taken the week off to enjoy this move. Rob has been busy painting rooms in the house and getting rid of things to get it ready for our move in. I have been trying to get things in my apartment ready for the move. I have done some cleaning, I have given some things away but I still have a long way to go. The house buying process has been just as stressful as I had remembered it from the last time but I am getting through it. The only issue is that I am also dealing with so many other moving pieces which is making it a little more insane.
Did I mention that I am full swing into tax season. I am just learning to juggle the two locations at work. Just as I start to get a grip on how to balance my time in both offices, my boss has bought a new building and by the end of the year we will be in moving and be in a new location. This is great news. The office being back together as one is such a great thing but it's definitely one more crazy thing to add to my life right now. Ucran will be celebrating it's 10th year open and my 6th year with it and hopefully it will be a great new adventure. There was a period of time when I started to think that Ucran wasn't going to be part of my future. I had accepted the idea that I might have to move on and find something new. I am happy that wasn't the case but it was certainly a hurdle that took a lot out of me.
My citizenship papers have been on hold since July of 2020 thanks to Covid. I finally received news that I take my test March 31st. In case you didn't put it together yet, yes that is the day after the closing and during tax season. So yeah, I am packing up my house, I am in tax season and I am studying for my citizenship test. I guess you could say that I thrive on chaos and craziness.
