Let's Review January

Let's review January.

We had a government shut down which on reenforces what I am trying to do. Stock my house, learn how to make things and live simply.

I bought a new game that AJ and I have been playing. It's called Don't Wake Grandma. you have to steal cookies without waking Grandma in her recliner. If you wake her, she jumps up and her dentures come flying out.

My bread journey has been a success. I have really enjoyed making bread each weekend. I am learning how it's suppose to feel. I am learning how different things effect how the bread comes out. I have a simple recipe that I consider my go to right now.

I learned how to make granny squares and made a potholder. It's my first one but I really had fun following a YouTube video to learn and then Mami came over to help me too.

I have been growing celery indoors. So far so good but it's only been a few weeks.

I made my first apple cobbler to stop wasting my apples that don't get finished. I had so much fun trying a new recipe. It might have been a little too sweet for me but Rob loved it.

I ordered and received an embroidery kit. I have not started it yet but it's part of my analog bag supplies.

I also found a place for cheap DVD's and I have started my journey curating a collection.

And I had Mami handwrite her coquito recipe so that I could frame it and put it up in my kitchen in this beautiful frame.

Dumb Home & Slowing down

Enough already with the smart house. You know that I want? I want a dumb home. I want reading nooks and millworks and thoughtful collections...
